Vending is a new and super profitable business development direction of small scale business in Russia.

For example, vending machines can ease cashiers’ workload; reduce the queues to the cash desks and to clear trade halls in retail chain shops.

They will provide a buyer with a possibility to have a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, to rest and continue shopping in the big trade centers. The recourses of the automated sales are huge: from a feeding point at an enterprise or in an office center (in Western Europe a set of machines for hot drinks, snacks, sandwiches and tins sales is a norm) to an ultimate automated shop.

Annual turnover of vending companies in Japan makes 28 bln dollars, in USA – 45 bln USD, in Europe – 30 mln Euro. In Japan one vending machine serves 25 people, in USA -37 people, in Europe – 100 people, for Russia this index now is around 5600 people.

The capacity of Russian vending market is great. Vending trade development in Russia is uneven: the cities with population over a million people are the absolute leaders. Fifty nine percent of all the existing Russian operators work there. 84% of the vending market belongs to the cities of 300 thousand people population.

For vending to become demanded the region the operators come into should be economically developed and urbanized. Though the machines are very easy in exploitation, the principle of their usage is instinctively clear and each step is accompanied by instructions, buyers should possess some skills of vending machines’ usage.

The decision to have the Winter Olympic Games of 2014 in Sochi is a serious drive for the vending development in the region. The constant inflow of clients will force restaurants’ managers and sellers to search the possibilities to lower the workload on waiters. What can resolve this issue better than vending machines? Using vending machines for one piece goods sale and machines making and selling hot drinks, a hundred of people at a half of hundred of desks can be replaced with a single maintenance operator. More than that – it is possible to administer many models of the machines – that is to change prices, reload, get information on the proceeds – remotely from an office, which can be located wherever you like.

Vending is mainly a small scale business activity sector. This way of sales opens bright future for small scale businesses.
