1. Since when has your company been represented in Russia?
Johan Veraar: We started our business seriously in Russia in 2008 with an excellent partner: K.Vending. Russia is recovering from the economic crisis faster than its neighbouring countries. Improved living standards have let the market for hot drinks develop qualitatively. We therefore see interesting potential in hot drinks such as chocolate, cappuccino and tea consumed from vending machines.
2. What do you aim to achieve by taking part in VendExpo 2012?
Johan Veraar: It is one of our company’s core philosophies to be close to our customers and to deliver the best possible service. Our aim is to build on the success of VendExpo 2011 and to demonstrate to Russian operators that our SQD premium products will impress their customers and will encourage them to return to their vending machines. Returning customers consume more drinks and thus generate more profit.
3. What are you going to present this year?
Johan Veraar: Due to our long-term expertise in spray-drying, agglomeration, blending and vending applications in combination with our in-depth know-how in relation to raw materials such as coffee, cocoa and milk, SATRO provides premium hot drinks in high quality. In our Research & Development department in Lippstadt, Germany, technologists design innovative products that perfectly match the operators’ requirements of a convenient and easy-to-use vending product on the one hand and also, of course, the tastes and preferences of consumers on the other.
This year, we will focus on our SQD PREMIUM CHOC XDX – a chocolate drink for real chocolate lovers. With 18% cocoa content, this mix has a rich chocolate taste with high creaminess and nice sweetness. For a better performance in vending machines, this chocolate mix is agglomerated.
