Contest Terms and Conditions


Contest Place and Date

The Contest is held during and at the showroom site of the international exhibition, Vending Technologies of the 21st Century VendExpo Russia.

Contest Purpose

The contest is aimed to promote up-to-date vending technologies, to set a positive image of vending drinks, to shape ethic norms and responsibility of operators for quality of drinks.

Beverage Quality Assessment

Product quality is assessed by experts of the Central Industry Taste Panel of The Rusteacoffee Association (the Central Taste Panel). Expert opinion is formed based on results of the organoleptic expert examination. The experts assess main quality parameters: design, taste and flavour of prepared beverages.

Who is Qualified

Exhibition participants (vending system operators, manufacturers / distributors of vending machines) are qualified to participate in the contest provided they have applied for the contest and submitted all required documents. Qualified beverages are prepared by contestants using their own vending machines specified in the contest application and pre-installed in the area of the Central Taste Panel.

The contest is held in three categories, with three nominations in each category.

A Set of Documents

To be qualified for contest registration, an applicant must submit the contest application, valid conformity certificate for the vending machine, valid conformity certificate for ingredients, sanitary certificate for ingredients.

Members of the Central Taste Panel

The Central Taste Panel includes leading coffee taste testers of the Russian coffee industry.

Decision of the Central Taste Panel

Decision of the Central Taste Panel is formed based on personal tasting sheets of Panel members, in which expert scores are put for every contestant in all nominations. Contesting samples are tested in closed format, when contestant beverages have encrypted numbers. Summary report is signed by the Chairman of the Central Taste Panel. A special opinion of the Panel members is included in the report with a separate record.

Best Vending Beverage Distinction Mark

The ground for awarding the Best Vending Beverage Distinction Mark is the decision of the Central Taste Panel. The winner is chosen for every contest nomination. The contest winner is granted the right to place the Best Vending Beverage Distinction Mark on vending machines that participated in the contest. The Best Vending Beverage Distinction Mark remains valid within one year.
